The Big Reveal is finally here!!

To quote Entrepreneur, my renovation motivation has disappeared. And I have to agree. The project that began around October 25th…the one that consumed most of our weekends and evenings…the one that displaced all semblance of a decent meal…is finally almost finished after six weeks of hard, manual labor…just the back splash tiling and a few minor cabinet and wiring adjustments are left. But I simply cannot wait any longer to show you the results of our backbreaking, stress-inducing, completely exhausting efforts!

Drum roll please.….…

I know! Amazing, isn’t it? I can feel the month-long knots in my shoulders beginning to loosen up already. It’s always so hard to envision the final results when selecting from teeny, tiny samples. Sometimes it really felt like we were taking a huge gamble that all the components would play well with each other. And now, I can confidently tell you that we’re thrilled how it’s come together.

And now it’s definitely time for this!

Let the holidays begin!

  1. Wonderful! Love the countertops — love the flooring — it is certainly worth celebrating the completion — or near-completion! The wine is the perfect finishing touch.
You will be sharing when the backsplash is done, right?

  2. It looks BELLISSIMA!!!!!!!!! I can’t believe you have done it all yourselves — it looks amazing (wish I could pop over for dinner some time.…) — and definitely time for that wine in your beautiful new kitchen !!

    • Technically we did the demolition and selecting the final components. We left the installation of the counters and floors to people who actually know what they’re doing! Anytime you want to pop in from Italy for dinner is fine with me! ;-)

  3. WOW and OOOOHHH WOW!!!!!!. I’m certainly looking forward to seeing it “in person” You all did a wonderful job.

  4. And Apothic Red is my favorite wine! The kitchen is stunning!

  5. It looks terrific! I am so impressed by all of the work you did and your eye for detail. Three cheers for you (and at least one of those is my glass of wine clinking yours). :)

  6. Gorgeous! I want a kitchen makeover! Unfair, just kidding; couldn’t help but refer to your last post, lol!
And I love Apothic Red! Yes, my sister turned me on to it!

  7. Lisa, you two are amazing, and it looks beautiful!
I absolutely love the counter tops you chose.
Done just in time for Christmas!
    Very special indeed.
    xo.
