Most of the time, life is hard. It just seems like that’s the norm these days. I can’t remember a time when life was carefree and easy. And just when things seem to be smoothing out…BAM…there’s something else that demands our (in)sanity. It’s so easy to just want to throw in the towel and concede defeat.
But then I remember that it’s usually through overcoming life’s disappointments and set backs where we find the sweetest rewards. Little comfort during the struggle, I know. Boy, do I ever know! You too? I hear you nodding your head in agreement. I suppose some things in life are just universal.
It’s here where we see the difference between the weak and the strong; the optimist and pessimist; the person who, when given lemons will think outside the box, trade them in for limes and make Mojitos.
And it’s here where we discover exactly where our inner strength comes from (hint: it’s not Mojitos).
And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good,for those who are called according to his purpose. (Romans 8:28)
