Conversations with a 3-year-old that’s smarter than she should be.
Me: You know you’re not suppose to act like that. Can you tell me why you did this?
Peanut (as she sat in my lap and looked me straight in the eye): Nana, I think I’m really done with this conversation.
It was all I could do to keep from busting out laughing. I wonder just where she’s heard this phrase before?
And, one can only take so much Micky Mouse Playhouse, Jake and the Neverland Pirates, Charlie and Lola, and Little Einsteins. So, the other morning while watching the ever-intellectual Scoobie-Doo on Zombie Island, Peanut crawled in my lap, pointed her first finger at the television and said,
Nana, hate is a very strong word…but I hate zombies.
Yes, Peanut, I agree.
