Magical H2O

If there is magic on this planet, it is contained in water.

Water is a perfect prompt this week for Quotography as temps hit 100F today with a heat index of 100+ here in Middle Missouri. Tanner and I headed inside to the AC and didn’t go back out the rest of the day. When looking for a shot to represent water, I remembered this one from the summer of 2010 when Army Wife/Guy, Peanut and BB (big brother) lived with us. We took them to a local park sprayground one hot July afternoon. A perfect way to survive the heat.

And I completely agree with the quote. There is something magical about water.
It covers about 70% of our planet. And in each of us, up to 60% of our body is water. Our brain is 70% water and our lungs are about 90% water. We essentially live in water for 9 months before making our entrance into the world.

On average, we could survive anywhere between 4 to 6 weeks without food, but we could only last about 5 days without water before terrible things begin to happen to our bodies. Every living thing needs water to survive.

Water…we
drink it
clean with it
cook with it
grow plants with it
play with it, on it and in it
create energy with it
Water…it
cleanses
heals
purifies
baptizes
Water was present when time began.
The earth was without form and void, and darkness was upon the face of the deep; and the Spirit of God was moving over the face of the waters. Genesis 1
It’s made up of two gases, hydrogen and oxygen. At room temperature, it’s liquid. Drop that temperature and it becomes solid. Heat everything up and watch it turn to steam. Simply put, it’s an ecological miracle!
So, yes, I believe there’s something magical about H2O.
