My pick for Flower Art Friday is a dreamy, creamy Gerber Daisy. It’s one that survived the winter in a flower pot in the garage…with two more pots stacked on top of it. When I hauled the pots out earlier this spring, imagine my surprise to find struggling little daisy sprouts. It’s now thriving and flower heads are unfolding as we speak. Amazing.
In flowerspeak, Gerber daisies represent innocence, purity and cheerfulness. A refreshing combination in this sometimes dirty and less-than-cheery world. Perhaps this one can add determination, resolve and persistence to the list.
